Kroger is looking for a way to promote their new coupon app at the Super Bowl.
Solution
The Krog Bowl: Where Everything Tastes Like Victory
Kroger is going to create a live fan fest event at the Tampa Convention Center where fans can play games and learn about Kroger’s coupon app. They are adding a functionality to the app during the activation, called the Krog Bowl, so fans can redeem points for prizes and accrue points toward Kroger coupons.
Pre-Event: Instagram Ads
The app will track player’s points accumulated as they find artifacts throughout the footprint.
Guests will have to search for the items listed, use the app to keep track of items collected and race to the finish line in 90 seconds.
There will be a new round of voting every 30 minutes of the activation. If the fan votes for the winning team, they win points through the app. The leaderboard will broadcast which team is in the lead throughout the activation and how much time is left to vote.
At the end of the activation, guests can redeem their points for prizes through the app. They can also view their Kroger coupons accumulated throughout the activation.
